05/28/2010 - 'The Playground' Book -
A few years ago Rick Valicenti, of 3st, invited me to contribute to an incredible typography project called The Playground (Web). I submitted an illustrated version of 'ANEWONE' called 'ANEWYOU'.
Fast forward a few years and The Playground has been published! Also, I was fortunate enough to have my brass knuckles 'P' featured on the cover!

012/23/2009 - JHDC Closed for the Holidays -
Dublin for Xmas, London for New Years, Paris for fun and then finally Barcelona for my b-day (Jan. 9). Its going to be a trip of a lifetime, thank you everyone out their who has supported me. I truly am living out my dreams.
*I will be totally unplugging from work/life/internet, not even bringing my iPhone, so needless to say I will be out of contact until Jan. 15, 2010.

Kemistry Gallery asked me to join their utterly amazing line-up of artists. Legends like Parra, James Joyce, Geoff McFetridge and Sanderson Bob are just a few of the big names that Kemistry features. 'When It Rains It Pours', 'Me & You' and 'Lamps' are the new silkscreen 3 prints that available exclusively via the Kemistry Shop. I am honored to be included with some of my personal heroes.

012/01/2009 - 'Handmade Graphics' Book Feature & Type Tut.' -
The Handmade Graphics book, by Anna Wray published via the legendary RotoVision, features an amazing line-up of talented artist. With big names like Modern Dog and Mike Perry, I am ecstatic to be involved. Anna even asked me do a tutorial on my hand-drawn typography, good stuff. Life is wild! In this crazy recession time, things over here at JHDC have been busy busy. I've been working on everything from an iPhone App., to a ton of apparel for No Star Clothing & Gucci Mane. Needless to say I haven't had much time for updates. My Flickr is my 'blog' of sorts, so follow me there if you would like more frequent updates on my work.

08/21/2009 - 'Sweetness' print for Pyromaniac -
Derek, the man behind 'the only fantasy football news website with a soul', Pyromaniac.com, asked me to create a fantasy football poster for the launch of their great new site. They wanted a timeless, Chicago oriented poster, so obviously I went with the Chicago icon, Sweetness! With the help of Screwball Press, the 4 color screen-printed posters turned out incredible! They will sell-out, so get 'em while they last at the Pyro Store.

06/07/2009 - Gallery Show Galore -
It has been too long time since my last update, I've been super busy doing gallery shows. First, I had a small solo show at The Coop, the opening was so packed I didn't have time to take many pictures! A few days later I flew to Montreal, CA. for a week to co-curated a huge exhibition for Grow Studio. Crazy, fun times.

01/02/2009 - JHDC takes over the internet in '09!
It's been a while since my last update, work has been crazy busy around here (in a good way). Had a refreshing holiday break and now I am hitting the ground running in 2009. Lots of new projects on the horizon, so stay tuned. JHDC has been getting some nice, notable press as of late, a big thank you goes out to all that have helped. Keep it comin'!

10/29/2008 - STOW '09
Some Type Type Of Wonderful is a collaborative typography project with 12 of the best type nerds from around the world. Each artist created typographic artwork based on a month of the year. The final product is a spectacular quality A1 fine art print series and beautiful calender. The exhibition was last week in Melbourne, but the prints are available for purchase now! Boost the economy (hehe)!!!
